Description

The Mega Dream Bag is the perfect bag for all your sewing tools and notions, especially when traveling. This versatile bag features custom interior pockets, a folded down top for easy access, handles that drape out of the way, and a fully extended zipper for opening the bag to access supplies. (4 hour class). 

Fabric and Supplies
Mega Dream Bag Pattern for Bodobo Bags by Ticklegrass Designs
Outside Top – ¼ yard or fat quarter
Outside Bottom – 1/3 yard
*Optional – Exterior Fabric – 1 yard (for solid front including pockets)
Lining – ½ yard (add ¼ yard if adding exterior pockets) 
Pockets – 1/3 yard
Straps – ¼ yard
Handles – use the leftovers of any of the above fabrics
Pellon SF101 Shape Flex – 2 ½ yards
Pellon TP971F Fusible Thermolam Plus – ½ yard

1 – 18” or larger #5 nylon zipper

Helpful Notions

Working sewing machine in good condition, thread, extra bobbins, scissors and/or rotary cutter, sewing ruler/guide, sewing clips, pins, chalk or removable marking pen, stiletto, zipper foot, walking foot

Prior to Class – cut the following (all sewing is completed in class)

Outside Top – cut 2 – 4 ¾” x 17 ½”
Outside Bottom – cut 2 – 9 ¾” x 17 ½”
Lining – cut 2 – 13 ½” x 17 ½”
Pockets – cut 2 – 10 ½” x 17 ½”
Straps – cut 2 – 5” x 24” (altered from pattern directions to add 3”)
Handles – cut 2 – 2 ½” x 7 ¾”
Zipper Tab – cut 1 – 2” x 3”
Pellon SF101 – cut 4 – 13 ½” x 17 ½”, cut 2 – 10 ½” x 17 ½”, cut 2 – 2 ½” x 23”

Pellon TP971F – cut 2 – 12 ½” x 16 ½”

*Optional – Solid exterior directions with outside pockets
Exterior – cut 2 – 14” x 17 ½”
Exterior pockets – cut 2 – 9 ½” x 17 ½”

Lining (exterior pockets) – cut 2 – 9 ½” x 17 ½”

 

 

BAG DIMENSIONS:
9.5in tall x 10 1/4in wide x 6in Deep - 15.5in wide at the top when bag is closed.

The Mega Dream Bag pattern DOES NOT include paper templates. Pattern pieces are meant to be cut with a rotary cutter, mat and ruler.
